Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI), a Georgian civil society organization, lead a panel discussion Advancing the Progress toward Achieving the SDGs Post-COVID-19 with government and CSO leaders from the Caucasus region on their experiences in institutionalizing and localizing the SDGs and the importance of adopting a participatory approach. The panelists reflected on the impact of the current COVID-19 pandemic on the process of achieving the SDGs at the national levels, and how they can learn from each other’s experiences.
Our Lab's Public Policy Innovation Task Lead Elen Sahradyan shared our Lab experience in institutionalizing and localizing the SDGs based on the example of the SDG Monitor platform. The platform was developed as a result of collaboration between the UN and the government aiming to use big data sources to provide real-time information on the progress of SDGs implementation. The SDGs platform will soon include a COVID-19 dashboard to publish SDGs progress pre- and post-pandemic.

The SDG Monitor platform was developed by the Armenia National SDG Innovation Lab team in cooperation with the UNDP's "Rule of Law and SDGs in Armenia Reform Agenda" project within the framework of "Innovative Solutions for SDG Implementation in Armenia" project funded by the Russian Federation and implemented in close partnership with the Government of Armenia.
