On June 30, SDG Innovation Lab team took part in a forum organized by DVV International Armenia in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia as part of "Adult Education for Sustainable Development Goals" campaign. During the forum our Learning and Development Lead Anzhela Movsisyan, Public Policy Innovation Task Lead Elen Sahradyan, and Researcher Arpine Mazhinyan talked about our Lab and presented three of our platforms:
DM of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia Arthur Martirosyan and Director of DVV International Armenia Office Esther Hakobyan delivered opening remarks during the forum. They highlighted the role of youth and adult education as a tool for implementation of Agenda 2030. The aim of the "Adult Education for Sustainable Development Goals" campaign is to increase the level of awareness of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Armenia among young people and adults, as well as discuss the challenges while implementing SDGs in Armenia.
Various events, including forums in Yerevan and Kapan, research initiatives, and community projects implemented by DVV regional adult education centers are expected to be held within the framework of the campaign. The campaignwill be wrapped up in October 2021 in the Youth Capital Kapan.
