On June 30, Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable Organization hosted representatives of the Armenia National SDG Innovation Lab at the Aleppo-NGO.
Louise Skarvall, the Liaison officer of the Lab, presented the SDGs in general, the environmental issues, emphasizing the importance of preserving natural resources.
Ruzannna Baldryan, the UX and Communications officer at SDG Lab talked about the current projects and activities, told about certain experiments we carried out in the past, including the projects that ameliorate citizen-government correspondence, improve maternal health, and the results thereof. She stressed that the Lab applies behavioral experimentation, data science, and design thinking to derive valuable insights for public policy.
Vahan Martirosyan from the Data Science Team talked about the AI industry innovations and trends, and the future perspectives in that field, ”persuading ” the participants that regardless of the profession, all of them will have to deal and get familiar with data science, sooner or later. The attendants witnessed how it is possible to write a random topic and get an essay derived from internet resources through the AI which was quite exciting. Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing are widely used for the major projects undertaken at the Lab.
